Overview
This training will prepare clinicians in the clinical practice of fire risk assessment and treatment in children and youth. It aims to help learners to use standardized tools and materials in the assessment and treatment of children and youth, and their families/caregivers, who are at risk of or engaged in fire-setting. It draws upon the TAPP-C model.
It is intended for mental health, child protection, behavioural and family clinicians wanting to enhance their clinical practice when working with children and youth, and their families/caregivers, who are involved in fire-setting. This 1.5 day training is offered virtually by an experienced TAPP-C clinician and facilitator.
