Both Access CAMH and the CAMH Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program have dedicated resources to provide care for youth and emerging adults experiencing the early stages of a serious mental illness.
Inpatient services include:
On the inpatient Early Psychosis Unit, we provide a variety of youth-oriented group programs to help build skills and promote recovery and engagement for our patients. Some of the groups include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Concurrent Disorders, Discharge Planning, Spirituality, Yoga, and Art Groups.
The variety of programming enables patients to remain engaged on the unit, provides a source of meaningful activity and helps create a therapeutic environment.
It also helps prepare patients for discharge and reintegrating back into the community.
