The Caregiver Advisory Group serves as an integral strategic partner, collaborating in research, knowledge translation and dissemination, education, and training at the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre. As caregivers to loved ones with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health issues, advisors provide a lens of lived experience, offering input into research questions, methods and data interpretation. They inform, design and co-facilitate education webinars and workshops for caregivers, researchers at CAMH, service providers and the public. When providing feedback on CAMH material, caregiver advisors provide rich, critically reflective dialogue advocating for, and alongside, people with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health service users. Please contact adeen.ashtonfogle@camh.ca or nathan.dawthorne@camh.ca for more information about the group.
