Dr. Michael Kiang is a senior scientist with the Slaight Family Centre for Youth in Transition and a psychiatrist in the Schizophrenia Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). He is also an associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
Areas of Research
Dr. Kiang's research uses cognitive neuroscience methods, such as event-related brain potential (brainwave) recordings, to investigate the neurophysiological basis of cognitive abnormalities and their relationship to symptoms in schizophrenia and related disorders. He has received research funding from CIHR, the Ontario Mental Health Foundation, the American Psychiatric Institute for Research and Education, and the Brain and Behavior Foundation (NARSAD).
