Women have long served in international operations, but their distinct experiences and their mental health impacts are not well understood. Interviews will explore women's distinct experiences during deployment-especially impactful interactions, such as those involving fellow military or police personnel, local communities, or children, or experiences that challenged their values and sense of right and wrong. Findings will inform recommendations to better support women in future deployments.
