Dr. Maryana Kravtsenyuk is a forensic psychiatrist on the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada subspeciality register. She completed psychiatric training at the University of Alberta in 2015 and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2016. Since then, she has been working in various jurisdictions across Canada as a forensic psychiatrist with a diverse practice including secure and rehabilitation units, outpatient forensic clinics, correctional clinics in provincial and federal institutions, and courts.
She has been actively engaged in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate medical education across various institutions in Canada. She holds an academic position of an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Kravtsenyuk is an active member of several provincial and national professional organizations including Canadian Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (CAPL), Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), the Canadian Psychiatric Association (CPA). She continues to be involved in research projects, to publish papers and to present at scientific conferences.
Dr. Kravtsenyuk is an active member of the medical staff at the CAMH, she conducts court-ordered assessments and provide care to the individuals under the Provincial Criminal Code Review Board. She conducts assessments for the Mental Health Court in Toronto and provides forensic psychiatric services in Northern Ontario. In her practice, she conducts third-party medico-legal psychiatric assessments for criminal and civil proceedings.
