Rebecca has held Executive Director or CEO positions for over 25 years. As a transformational impact leader, who builds trusted relationships that drive innovation and outcomes for people, teams and community, she herself feels fortunate to be enjoying a prolific career in the health and social profit sector.
She has earned nationwide recognition for her leadership in community development, inclusion for persons with disabilities, LGBTQ rights, support for youth at risk, mental health and addictions, cultural competency, and innovation. Rebecca is currently the CEO for the Canadian Mental Health Association York Region and South Simcoe. She plays an integral role in Ontario’s restructuring of the health care system, serving as co-chair of the Ontario Health Central Region Mental Health and Addiction Planning table, Chair of the Southlake Community Ontario Health Team Mental Health and Addiction Table and fostering integration opportunities across all corporate, public, health and social service sectors. She is leading the development of the York Region Mental Health & Addictions Crisis Hub, co-chairs the Region’s Human Services Planning Board, and chaired the Region of York’s Service Coordination Council for Mental Health and Addictions for its three-year mandate. She lives a deeply personal commitment to EDIA to create high performance cultures where purpose and belonging drive meaningful outcomes for those we collectively serve.
