Title: “Walking through my spiritual garden”
"Spirituality is something that is really important to me within my day-to-day life.
Especially the ability to create artwork that is meaningful and allows one to reflect on their spiritual journey or narrative. It can even be seen as a source of meditation or a way to be mindful; one of the many goals I hope to achieve with this mosaic. Walking though my Spiritual Garden is a piece of artwork that I have created as a result of reflecting on spirituality, nature and its connection to sacred geometry. The use of sacred geometry in this piece of work is connected to the idea of bring the universe together and connecting to something greater regardless of one's own spiritual beliefs. The use of geometry in this mosaic is also a reminder that geometry is part of our daily life whether it is seen through the way in which a building is constructed or designed, or even how a garden is formed. This mosaic was designed for the viewer to connect to mind, body, and soul. The colours and the movement of the patterns allow ones eyes to be brought to the middle of the mosaic (to where the pond of water is). This idea of this is much connects to both the micro and macro aspects of the universe; allowing or having something to bring one back to the middle or into a safe space."
