Listening Between the Lines: Comic Bubbles & Inner Voices
Tuesday, April 28 | 12:00 - 2:00 pm
Location: Patient and Family Learning Space
What do we say out loud—and what do we keep inside? In this gentle, creative workshop, you’re invited to explore the space between your inner voice and your spoken words using comic-style speech and thought bubbles. Through drawing, painting, and reflection, we’ll practice listening—not just to others, but to ourselves. As part of Patient and Family Experience week, this art workshop offers a supportive mental health space where expression doesn’t need to be perfect or polished—just honest. No art experience needed. All materials provided.
This workshop is useful for:
- Exploring your creative process & art experimentation
- Building community connection
- Social inclusion
- Enhancing well-being & enjoying the present moment
All required materials will be provided by CAMH on the day of the workshop. Pre-registration is required as space is limited per group. Open to all, no prior art experience necessary.
Still Listening: Patient Voices and Human Rights
Wednesday, April 29 | 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Virtual
In this session, we will return to a question of listening: Why human rights still matter for people using mental health services, and why the spaces where those rights are spoken for and defended are changing. We will reflect on a key moments in Ontario's history focusing on how people with lived experience organized to ensure their voices were heard and taken seriously. And we will ask what it means to keep listening now, not only to what is loud and visible, but to what is quieter, harder to name, and too often unheard.
