At CAMH, everyone is a champion for mental health. To mark this important year, CAMH is celebrating Canadians across the country who have the same enthusiasm to create change as we do.
The CAMH Difference Makers campaign is a national initiative to celebrate 150 Canadians making a difference for the mental health of individuals and society. Over the past few months we heard about more than 3,700 Canadians who are creating hope through research, philanthropy, and advocacy. We received nominations from every province.
Although nominations closed on Canada Day, the Difference Makers movement is just getting started! In the coming months, the 150 Leading Canadians for Mental Health National Committee will be selecting 150 Difference Makers from the pool of nominees and we will be honouring their contributions in regional celebrations this fall.
The full list of 150 Difference Makers will be available to the public in December.. Their stories will help CAMH to continue a national conversation on mental health.
Thank you to CAMH’s National Chairs, Sandi and Jim Treliving, and to the National Committee members who helped encourage Canadians in every province to submit nominations.
Thank you to the Canadians who nominated individuals who have made a difference. You are all helping CAMH to make a mark on this important year for mental health.
