I am pleased to announce that as of September 7, Tracey MacArthur will step into the role of CAMH President and Chief Executive Officer for the coming year.
Tracey, currently Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been a member of the Executive Leadership Team at CAMH for the last decade. She has worked in academic healthcare for 25 years, arriving from University Health Network where she held increasingly senior leadership roles. In all of her hospital roles, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to the academic mission of excellent patient care, research, and education.
Her background also includes leading clinical informatics, quality and performance, and community care. As CAMH’s CIO she led the implementation of the Cerner electronic health record system, known as I-CARE. This project has garnered many awards including achievement of the highest international health record standard of HIMSS Level 7. Tracey also led the CAMH clinical program transformation, including the implementation the new Child, Youth & Emerging Adult program & Bridging Clinic. She has had responsibility for planning and implementation of our move into the 1C phase of our redevelopment project, expansion of virtual care, leading Safe and Well CAMH and, most recently, the CAMH COVID-19 response.
Tracey will step into this role when Catherine becomes Ontario Deputy Minister of Health. Tracey is a highly respected executive known for her collaborative approach to leadership, mentorship and team building. I’m confident that she will provide strong leadership through the pandemic recovery and advancement of OneCAMH, our Strategic Plan, as the Board of Trustees initiates a formal search process.
