The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is in its fourth phase of an historic redevelopment at the Queen Street campus. The 25-year physical transformation is turning what was once a walled institution into a place of hope for the future of mental health care.
This phase includes the construction of the Waverley House Secure Care & Recovery Building and the Temerty Discovery Centre. Both buildings are currently under construction.
A key part of the investment in this phase includes the sale of our surplus property at 175 Brentcliffe Road in the Leaside neighbourhood. This property once housed one of our founding organizations, the Donwood Institute.
- The 175 Brentcliffe Road property is 8.32 acres (net land) and includes:
- West portion (5.8 acres)
- East portion (2.52 acres) - which contains a building currently leased to EHN Bellwood Toronto, a private mental health and addictions treatment centre.
- The property is will be listed for sale in April 2025.
We will provide updates on the sale of the Leaside property on this page.
