Following a weeklong Accreditation Canada visit to our hospital in June, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has been accredited with Exemplary Standing, the highest level of achievement possible.
“These outstanding results demonstrate the spirit, dedication and passion our staff have for supporting patients, each other and advancing the mental health movement,” said Sarah Downey, CAMH President and CEO. “I couldn’t be more proud of our teams – in the work they do to support patients and their families, no matter what role they play, and their commitment to excellence every single day.”
Throughout the week, a team of five surveyors from Accreditation Canada assessed CAMH against a comprehensive set of standards and 28 Required Organizational Practices.
Participating in Accreditation demonstrates our commitment to ongoing quality improvement, safety and accountability. An exemplary designation demonstrates that CAMH went beyond the requirements of Accreditation Canada.
It is the fourth time CAMH has received the ‘Exemplary’ designation!
