September is World Alzheimer's Month. It’s projected that the world's population of Alzheimer-related dementia will increase to 135 million by 2050*.
Prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's requires new interventions, such as new drug development and psychosocial therapies. See below for some search tips on looking up Alzheimer's research.

A database of evidence-based Canadian clinical practice guidelines. The guidelines are produced or endorsed in Canada by a national, provincial or territorial medical or health organization or government agency. English and French language guidelines include info on diagnosis, screening, and prescribing antipsychotics in dementia populations.

Cochrane Reviews are the gold standard of evidenced based care and search the evidence on specific interventions, such as omega-3 fatty acids, exercise therapy, statins, and caregiver support. The Cochrane Dementia and Cognitive Improvement Group’s ALOIS Community has also produced interactive modules with real life dementia research examples.
