CAMH is committed to keeping our communities, neighbours and staff informed about the progress of the Queen Street Redevelopment Project.
Work on both hospital buildings remains on schedule and this month we expect to complete the Level 5 and 6 concrete slab pours and begin the formwork for Level 7. Mechanical and electrical piping work in the underground tunnels that connect CAMH buildings will also continue.
On October 1, Gordon Bell Road will be closed from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Later in the month there will be construction activities that will temporarily impact Stokes Street, however the dates and the full scope of the impact have yet to be finalized. We will provide updates on Twitter as they become available.
Therapeutic Art Project Community Meeting
As part of the redevelopment project, CAMH launched the Therapeutic Art Installation Project, a public art competition that will see 10 original works of donor-funded art integrated into the new buildings.
Join us October 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Queen Street Community Centre, in Meeting Room A to learn more about this innovative project and meet artist Nathan Whitford whose work will illuminate CAMH.
