CAMH is committed to keeping our communities, neighbours and staff informed about the progress of the Queen Street Redevelopment Project.
We’ve seen incredible progress over the past two months to the structures that will eventually become home to the McCain Complex Care and Recovery Building and the Crisis and Critical Care Building. When complete, these two new buildings will feature 235 inpatient beds, a 24/7 psychiatric emergency department and a unique "therapeutic neighbourhood" for patients that will help transform mental health care as we know it.
Work remains on schedule and this month we will continue the slab work on level one and level two and starting to install the formwork for level three of both buildings. Mechanical and electrical piping work in the underground tunnels that connect CAMH buildings will also continue.
Also, parking garage at the Doctor’s Association Building (101 Stokes Street) and the south section of Gordon Bell Road near Units 1 and 3 will be closed to traffic for mechanical hoisting from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the following dates:
- Saturday, August 11, 2018
- Saturday, August 18, 2018
- Saturday, August 25, 2018
