This week marks the departure of one of our favourite education leaders. Brennan Sarich, Communication Coordinator with Portico wrote a few words:
Tim Tripp, our director of library services, knowledge exchange and digital teams, is moving on to the University Hospital Network (UHN). He will be director of the largest health library system in Canada, working with the clinical education teams there. (We are pleased to hear that he will still be working with education as a focus!)
Tim’s leadership on a number of projects will be missed. He helped launch Portico Network, a national network for improving practice in mental health and addictions, led a library team that was small but mighty, and worked on Vision 2020 for the development of new education spaces on Queen Street, including a new library. He was heavily involved with digital projects, the online bookstore and apps developed by the department, including Thought Spot, an online map of mental health and wellness services for students in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
“Parting is such sweet sorrow” is an apt turn of phrase: we are sure we will see Tim again, and wish him all the best, and him leaving will only make the greeting when the time comes again all that much sweeter!
