CAMH’s Discovery Fund has launched the 2019 Talent Development Competition to fund the next round of exciting projects aimed at improving mental health here in Canada and around the world.
“The Discovery Fund has a powerful mission to drive research aimed at lowering suicide rates; reducing disability associated with common mental disorders; and creating better outcomes for people with psychosis,” says Dr. Vicky Stergiopoulos, CAMH’s Physician-in-Chief. Dr. Stergiopoulos Co-Chairs the Discovery Fund steering committee with Dr. Bruce Pollock, CAMH’s Vice-President of Research.
“Through the Talent Development competition in particular, we’re empowering young, talented researchers to address knowledge gaps in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental illness throughout the lifespan,” she says.
The Discovery Fund Talent Development Competition reflects an investment in graduate trainees and postdoctoral fellows, our next generation of outstanding scientists.
Deadline for abstract submission is November 19 and full application deadline is December 17. Learn more about the Post-Doctoral Fellow and Graduate Student competitions.
