CAMH is committed to keeping our communities, neighbours and staff informed about the progress of the Queen Street Redevelopment Project.
Work on both hospital buildings remains on schedule and we are getting closer to topping out! This month we are aiming to complete the top floor (Level 7) concrete slab pours on the Crisis and Critical Care Building and the top floor (Level 7 and 8) slab pours for the McCain Complex Care and Recovery Building. Exterior wall panel construction will begin for both buildings as we start work on the building envelope. Mechanical and electrical piping work in the underground tunnels that connect CAMH buildings will also continue. The service tunnel work will involve some excavation on Stokes Street near Gordon Bell Road, which may begin later this month or in early December.
There will be a number of inner road and/or lane closures required this month. We will provide updates on our Twitter page as they become available.
