Research Areas & Projects
The question driving our team’s research is: Which treatments work for which children? The challenge today is we have no evidence to tell us which treatment to select for a specific child and family. Our CIHR-funded principal project is a four-year study to develop clinical profiles of children who share psychological and behavioural traits who either benefit, or do not, from two proven group-based treatments. It’s a step toward matching a child with the optimal treatment and identifying patient needs that may be better addressed through other treatments or combinations of treatments.
To achieve our goal, our team engages in four domains of clinical research:
• Brain and Behaviour
• Clinical Trials
• Knowledge Translation & Education
• Treatment Outcome and Response Prediction
